What Did Bill and Hillary Clinton Do With Haiti’s $3.9 Billion in Aid? In 2010, a massive 7.0 earthquake devastated the island of Haiti, killing more than 200,000 people, leveling 100,000 homes and leaving 1.5 million people destitute. In 2016, Haiti’s death toll from Hurricane Matthew surpassed 1,000 victims. In the aftermath, Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation controlled nearly four billion dollars in aid intended to rebuild roads, hospitals, houses and schools. But it never happened. “The capital is still just a mess. It’s just gone. Gone. The capital, just gone. The roads are a mess. I haven’t seen anything that looks like it has been rebuilt. It’s horrible,” Glenn said. While the Clintons and the Clinton Foundation got rich off of poor Haitians, the people they promised to help continue to live in squalor — and even slavery.
By the way, they’ve cut out the global initiative. The Clintons have decided to close it down. PAT: Interesting. GLENN: Yeah, that’s really interesting, isn’t it? PAT: Yes. GLENN: Now that they don’t have access to power — PAT: Is nobody donating now? GLENN: The big dollars, the big countries don’t seem to be interested in donating, is that what it is? PAT: I’m sure that has nothing to do with it.
In fact, some of the rubble is laying on the ground eight years later. GLENN: Yeah, like the capital is still just a mess. It’s just gone. Gone. The capital, just gone. The roads are a mess. I haven’t seen anything — PAT: Total mess. GLENN: — that looks like it has been rebuilt. It’s horrible. PAT: And what was the thing that was for sale that was donated to Haiti, and then somebody took it and is selling it now. And they’re supposed to be free items. And they’re selling it on the roadside. GLENN: Yeah. I saw bags of rice with the American flag — PAT: Yeah, bags of rice from the United States that we sent there for them to eat, they’re on sale now from some merchant on the side of the road. GLENN: Right. And Haiti, if they gave $2 billion to Haiti, that’s a problem because right now, giant corporations — I think Apple is one of them, have come to Haiti and said, “We want to build plants here. We’ll help you, but we’re not running it through the government. We’ll help. We’ll build it. We’ll provide the jobs, but we don’t trust the corruption here. So you got to stay out of it. No, we’re not giving the money to the government.
