‘It Was Astounding!’: Rush Limbaugh Says He Couldn’t Help but Watch Bill Clinton During Hillary’s Iowa Speech–47gh.,b43
“Bill Clinton standing behind Hillary last night, I saw that too,” Limbaugh began. “I saw it all. I saw Prep H. I saw Geritol. I saw Fixodent. I saw Depends.”
He continued, “I saw it all. I saw … dripping saliva. I saw it all, folks. It was…it was…it was astounding.”
Limbaugh was commenting on the physical appearance of both Bill and Hillary, which he labeled “striking.” Hillary is currently age 68, while Bill is currently age 69.
Limbaugh went on to describe Hillary’s speech, likening it to “screeching [from] a bunch of seagulls that have starved out near Alcatraz for a while.”
In light of President Obama’s first official visit to a mosque while in office, he has received widespread criticism for both choosing a facility with links to Islamic extremism and thanking those in attendance for their purported contributions to national peace.
Some of the fiercest backlash came from syndicated radio host Rush Limbaugh during his program Thursday. The veteran broadcaster used the controversial address to highlight some questions about Obama’s self-professed Christian faith “Why did he choose to become a Christian?,” Limbaugh asked, after painting a picture of the way Obama has characterized both Islam and Christianity.
“Barack Obama, he goes into this radical mosque in Baltimore [Wednesday],” he said. “He talks about how Islam has always been part of the fabric of America, and I stopped. I said, ‘Really?’ I didn’t know that.” Not only does the president talk “about how awesome Islam is all the time,” Limbaugh continued, “at the same time, he’s out there, and look what he says about Christians. He says he is one. Look, he talks about them as bitter clingers and they hold on to their guns when they’re nervous.”
In light of his dichotomous position on the two faiths, the host wondered why Obama would have chosen to follow Christ. “I’ve always wondered that,” Limbaugh concluded. “He’s such a defender and promoter of Islam, and, on the other hand, he and his party are constantly denegrating Christians. I don’t care what the issue is — whether it’s guns, whether it’s gay marriage, any cultural or social issue, or the ‘bitter clinger’ comments.”
Chelsea Clinton Just Accidentally Let Something Slip On TV Her Mom Will Hate:
She reacted to the slip nervously…
While playing her role in her mother’s campaign to win the Democratic presidential nomination, Chelsea Clinton made a slip of the tongue when speaking about Hillary Clinton’s rival, Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-Vt.
“We also need to strip away the immunity that President Sanders — excuse me — Senator Sanders, I hope not President Sanders…,” Chelsea Clinton said Wednesday as she reacted to the slip nervously and the Minneapolis crowd laughed.
Although the slip was relatively small, it came as Chelsea Clinton begins to play a more significant role in her mother’s campaign. Initially Chelsea served as a voice to portray a softer side of her mother, but now has taken to the offensive to go against Sanders.
“The thing that tells you as much as anything about (the Clinton campaign’s) current state of mind is Chelsea going on the attack. It tells you everything you need to know,” The Hill wrote, quoting one Democratic strategist. “That this (challenge from Sanders) is real and they’ve got to be freaking out.”
“I perhaps could see it coming from Bill, but I was taken aback hearing it from Chelsea,” said Grijalva. “I was surprised and thought it was out of character. It seems the Clinton campaign is going into full destruction mode very early in this process.”
Using her daughter to press home attacks on her rival removes one important facet needed in the Clinton campaign, one strategist said.
“The best role for her is to help in humanizing Hillary and talking about what a great mother and grandmother she is,” said Democratic strategist Brad Bannon. “Hillary has plenty of edge on her own, she doesn’t need help there. She has such an asset in her family if only they can use them the right way.”
“This makes Chelsea just another political player in the arena, and if I was Chelsea, that’s not where I’d want to be,” said Bannon.h/t: The American Mirror
